How to play

Walk with WASD or the arrow keys, or click/tap where you want to go. Walk through a door (or tap a building) to go inside.
Walk up to someone and press E (or tap them) to talk. They'll stop what they're doing while you chat. Be kind, curious and specific — friendships grow over many visits.
The gesture buttons above the message box let you wave, bow, nod, laugh and more — on their own, or along with whatever you've typed. Manners count: a bow to an elder goes down well.
The village keeps its own time: 1 second is 1 minute in Tarnbrook. Folks work, eat, gossip and sleep on their own schedules, indoors and out.
Villagers chat with each other too: linger near a group and you'll overhear them. The journal keeps what you overheard.
J opens your journal (everyone, your hearts, where they are now, who gets on with whom, and who is family). The family-tree button on a journal entry or in a conversation shows their bloodline. M toggles the map. Esc closes panels.
Villagers are AI characters whose replies are generated; they can be wrong or odd.
